Description
Players take on the role of Mackey, the tough, street-savvy leader of the Elite Strike Team, a special police unit located deep within the crime-riddled trenches of Los Angeles. Vic lives by his own code of ethics, neither bad nor good, and is a different kind of a cop who is willing to do what it takes to clean up the streets.
In The Shield game, players are able to dive into frenetic-paced gameplay and interact with the complex characters and unique locations that are key trademarks of the series. As Vic, the player will engage in perilous, true-to-life police work (busting crack dens, thwarting bank robberies, taking down gang bangers, apprehending serial killers). In order to succeed, they will need to operate outside the rules by intimidating suspects with brute force, accepting bribes, and holding incriminating information over other cops who dont agree with Vics ends justify the means approach to fighting crime.

Sacred
"Most addicting RPG game in ages"
Just when I thought I wasn’t going to be able to kill one more cow in diablo ii, this game comes along and saves me from the mindless repetition that diablo ii gave for me. Granted this game is good old hack and slash we all know and love but it does so with solid graphics, fluid movements, and crisp sound.
Graphics: 8/10
One thing I like about this game is that you can zoom in and out on your character depending on your preference in playing a game. The game looks best when viewed on the middle setting although it is nice to get an overhead view of the area you’re in before you go into battle with the largest zoom out mode. My complaint about the graphics is that when you zoom in the most, the only things that don’t become incredibly pixilated are the characters. Stationary items such as trees, desks, and other miscellaneous items become very uncomfortable to look at and a displeasure to the eyes. Other than that, the graphics are great. Spell effects are smooth and the punching combos are fluid and quite a joy to the watch. Overall, a solid game in the graphics department.
Sound: 7/10
The sound in this game is clear although it does sometimes get old listening to the monsters say the same thing and make the same noises. For instance, after about ten minutes of killing goblins in the first part of the game, you are going to be sick of listening to their silly chanting sounds and their death noises. Character voices and spell effects are solid and a joy to listen to. One thing I do like about the character voices is all the different things they say when they enter new regions of the world. Some of them are quite funny to listen too. I really like the music for this game, especially the opening music that is played on the main menu. It gets gripping when you go into combat and the music changes from peaceful to roaring in just a few seconds to highlight the tension of the situation. Overall, the sound is pretty good and nothing beats having your subwoofer thunk real loud when a 15 foot tall giant hits the ground!
Characters: 9/10
All the characters in this game are a lot of fun to play depending on your preference of character and some can be quite challenging. From the mighty gladiator to the adept battle mage, there are characters for people of all preferences and many different builds to keep the player occupied for hours.
Gladiator: This is your standard hard hitting melee fighter similar to the barbarian from diablo ii. He has a plethora of good skills that make him solid on the front line both taking damage and dishing out. My personal favorite skill of his is fist of the gods which allows him to raise his fist in an angry fury and smash the enemies in front of him, grinding them all to dust. This is one of my favorite characters and the one I am currently playing now.
Seraphim: Your holy warrior descended from the gods who goes around crushing her enemies in a thong! I found it funny the first time I loaded up the game and what she was wearing. Well besides her clothing (or lack thereof), she’s adept at combat and using her holy skills to damage her opponents. The seraphim doesn’t have the raw damage potential that the gladiator does, but she makes up for lack of raw damage in being much more agile and able to move around in combat much quicker.
Wood Elf: For those who liked the amazon from diablo ii, this will be the character you will want to play if you are a fan of ranged combat. To get the full advantage of the power of the wood elf, you need to sit back with your screen all the way zoomed out so you can see your enemies at an incredible distance away. This makes the early parts of the game very easy as many enemies will already be dead before they even get a chance to get near you to get a hit off. Fun character and has the potential to be very strong later in the game.
Dark Elf: Nothing beats the dark elves no matter what game you play. Coming from the dark, these fearsome warriors use agile blades and destructive traps to rain destruction upon their foes. Like the seraphim, the dark elf is a very agile character and relies on agility more than brute strength. His traps are fun to play around with although they don’t have the potential to be truly powerful later on in the game like his melee skills allow for him. Quite a good character overall.
